Being that our logo is a cat, we found that it wouldn’t make sense if we didn’t try out the demo for Cattails: Wildwood Story. With an official release date of October 20, now is the best time to get through the demo so that you can get through the very first ten days of the game and transfer all of your information to the full game. If that’s not convincing enough, then maybe the idea of being able to recreate your cat in-game to serve as the leader of a colony of other cats might change your mind.
What Is Cattails: Wildwood Story?
From the developer of Cattails comes Cattails: Wildwood Story. In it, you play as a cat in a world where cats rule together as one species. Cats have different skills and abilities that they use to protect one another as well as protect themselves from one another. As time passed, their primary guardian disappeared, leaving the cats to separate and find a way to live elsewhere.
As the main cat of your colony, you help them make decisions and bring resources back to ensure that you are all happy and healthy. You’re able to choose what sort of landscape you would like to live in, whether it be a volcanic atmosphere, a beach, or even a lush forest, and invite different cats to join your colony and help you get stronger. To do this, you need to venture outside of your safe haven and fight voidcats, collect fresh kills, and make discoveries that open up the world to you further.
Cattails: Wildwood Story Key Features
There are so many features that really make this game wonderful. From cat customization to general accessibility, what isn’t there to love?
Customize your cat – You’re able to design your cat however you want from color scheme to accessories. Every other cat in the game besides your own also takes after a real-life breed.

Accessibility Sliders – There isn’t anything that the developers at Falcon Development didn’t include. There is a slider for those with arachnophobia, a slider for those who wish not to see shining lights onscreen, and even a difficulty slider. There are plenty more that we didn’t include here that are sure to impress a wide variety of players.
Open World Exploration – Outside of your colony is a world just waiting for you to explore it. Here, you’ll be able to find animals that you can hunt and bring back to your colony as well as secret places and more.
