Chris has been in the gaming industry as a writer for various outlets, including Destructoid, HardcoreGamer, and GGRecon, now using his networking skills to find creators who resonate best with indie games!

Frowns Marketing was founded in 2023 out of a passion for indie video games, board games, and tabletop games.

When we say indie, we mean indie. We partner with developers who have never published a game and/or worked in the gaming industry, even those who have never touched a line of code or built a board game before. Our mission is to provide PR and content creation services for indie developers until they’ve found a publisher or officially released their game.

That’s right, we want developers to stop needing us!

In an era where indie games are more approachable than ever, we believe that even the smallest studios deserve the best PR and content creation plans at the lowest price. Posting on social media, editing a properly written store page, sending out well-written press releases, and even having a professional website are all key to attracting publishers; but it’s expensive. That’s where we come in. We do all the social planning, writing, editing, and so on at a budget you can afford. Then, when your game officially has a publisher, you can wave us a fond “Goodbye!”

What if you’re self-publishing your indie game, you ask? We can still help! We can create your Kickstarter or Indiegogo page, take care of your social marketing, send out press releases to journalists and content creators, and even post your game to different sites until it’s finally released.

After an initial consultation, let us know what you’re most interested in doing, and we’ll devise a plan to achieve it.

Join us in our journey to give every indie game the spotlight it deserves. Comment on posts, send us games to review/discuss, and partner with us to help your game find its audience.
