Archive Entertainment is an indie development team consisting of between 4-5 members all over the US and Canada. While they’ve yet to ship an indie title, that hasn’t stopped them from looking towards the future of their indie project: Lost in Manhattan. The entirety of the game is expected to include a variety of features like a diverse cast of characters descending from different backgrounds and harboring different emotional preferences.

What is Lost in Manhattan?

Lost in Manhattan is expected to be a third-person game that focuses on survival horror elements akin to the original Resident Evil and Silent Hill games. The story follows a sixteen-year-old girl named Maria who is of German-Mexican descent in the year 2050. The world in which she lives in is run over with a virus that has killed many, though remains ineffective to her specifically. The reason for this is that she is missing a part of her brain that the virus targets: the occipital lobe.

Players should expect a variety of in-game weapons that vary from more modern machinery to that of World War 2. While this might indicate a sense of violence in this future, the world is nowhere near as futuristic. However, there are several changes considering the timeline of events leading to this moment.

As expected, you’ll be walking through the streets of Manhattan, New York. By the end of your journey through Lost in Manhattan, you’ll be better prepared for what awaits in the expected anthology of games set in that universe.

What Features Will Lost In Manhattan Have?

While the game is still in it’s early stages of production, the features that players can expect to see include:

  • Third-person, over-the-shoulder gameplay.
  • Unlockable costumes for Maria.
  • A variety of different achievements that you can earn.
  • A total of 12 chapters split into the parts.
  • An intriguing prologue chapter.

Where Can You Play Lost In Manhattan?

Lost in Manhattan is still in the early stages of production. However, Archive Entertainment expect to release it on the Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. They also have plans to make it compatible for the Steam Deck.
